City of Menasha, WI – On Tuesday night, May 21, the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley Foundation, Inc., will be honoring two former students with its annual, "Outstanding Alumni Awards." In a ceremony that's part of the University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley's annual commencement ceremony, Stephen T. O'Hearn and Martin Jack Rosenblum, Ph.D., will be recognized with a presentation of personal plaques to commemorate their recognition. The commencement ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m. in the UWFox Fieldhouse.
Rosenblum has been described as a musician, scholar, educator and poet. With over a dozen CDs of original songs and over 20 books of poetry, scholarship and criticism to his credit, Rosenblum is an established, internationally recognized singer, songwriter, poet, scholar, educator and musician.
After attending UWFox from 1964 to 1966, he continued his studies and earned a B.S. in English with distinction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1969. He went on to receive an M.A. in English in 1971 and a Ph.D. in English in 1980, both from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Having served UW-Milwaukee for over 30 years as a member of the faculty and administration, Rosenblum is presently Senior Lecturer at that campus' Peck School of the Arts & Music Department, where he also serves as Rock and Roll Certificate Facilitator, teaching Rock and Roll history of which, he, himself is a part.Read the full article at UW-Fox Valley.
