The fingerstyle guitar program at UW-Milwaukee is unique – or very close to it - in the world. Established by John Stropes, the program offers the only bachelor and master’s degrees in fingerstyle guitar performance in the United States. But it’s not just American students who are taking advantage of it. Students from as far away as Japan – and in the case of our next guest, New Zealand, have moved to Milwaukee to study.
Nick Brightwell will present his final formal performance as a UWM student at his senior recital at the Peck School of the Arts recital hall on the UWM campus Tuesday evening.
