The Milwaukee LGBT Film/Video Festival opens Thursday with "Cloudburst," a romantic comedy starring Oscar winners Olympia Dukakis and Brenda Fricker.
The four-day festival's opening-night movie is showing at 7:30 p.m. at the Oriental Theatre, 2230 N. Farwell Ave. Screenings Friday through Sunday will be at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Union Theatre, 2200 E. Kenwood Blvd.
Directed by Thom Fitzgerald, "Cloudburst" is a road movie about a pair of life partners (Dukakis, Fricker) who leave their nursing home to run to Canada so they can be legally married.
