An audio-visual sculpture powered by keyboards, a computer and a video projector that “play” stacked cake boxes using color. A video installation that slowly reveals the visual trickery of touched up head shots. An installation that brings architecture and images of the natural world into visual intersection.
These are a few of the projects that will be on view as part of the “Arts + Technology Night” at the University of Wisconsin’s Peck School of the Arts on Wednesday, May 16. Students will take over three floors of the Kenilworth Square East building, 1925 E. Kenilworth Pl., for the bi-annual event and turn it into a dynamic, interactive gallery space from 6 to 9 p.m.
The showcase of emerging artists features work that explore the evolving role of technology in our lives and culture.
