Two Peck School faculty members -- Dance Professor Ferne Caulker-Bronson and Art & Design Associate Professor Nathaniel Stern -- have won Research Growth Initiative (RGI) Awards. Caulker-Bronson won the award for "The Sweet Grass Project: Preservation of African Movement traditions present in Gullah Culture of the Carolinas and Georgia Coast" and Stern won for "Body Language: a suite of four interactive installations."
The Research Growth Initiative is designed to increase UWM's research productivity, scholarship, and creative endeavors by investing in proposals selected through an independent and objective process.
