With the start of school upon us, it's worth recalling that the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee was listed as one of the top 25 film schools in the world, according to an article in the Hollywood Reporter in July. UWM ranked 20th on the list.
According to the article:
"UWM is far from the coastal film capitals, but its small program trains mainstream talents - its grads shot nearly 100 episodes of CSI. It also emphasizes experimental film: Two of Film Comments top 30 avant-garde filmmakers of the 21st century were alums"...
